Edward Buff Jumper, from Looff’s Salem Willows Carousel

Edward Buff Jumper, 1905, inner row, from the famous Looff Salem Willows Carousel, last owned and operated by Gray and Judy Tuttle. Originally thought to be Looff carvings, many figures on this carousel were actually carved by Edward Buff, a talented carver who worked for Looff. He had a carving shop in New Baltimore, NY. See May 1992 Issue of Carousel News & Trader. These sweet, charming horses are always popular with collectors. Oak leaf on the headstall, ribbon flowing across the rump. Restored, 52”L.
