Carousel Llama by Art Ritchie, The Carousel Works, Mansfield, OH.

Carousel Carving of a Llama, circa 1983, by Art Ritchie of the Carousel Works. Mansfield, OH. Inspiration based on Art’s younger daughter’s favorite Sesame Street episode, “Me and My Llama,” where a little girl takes her pet llama to the dentist. Although several llamas were carved for placement on carousels, this figure is one-of-a-kind, made for a specific customer. Realistic rendering, fine carving detail with Aztec designs and large shoulder medallion of a Conquistador. 62-1/2”L x 57”H, display stand included.
