“After the Storm,” by Mauritz F. H. DeHass (1832-1895). Signed and dated “M. F. H. DeHass, 1864.” Born in Rotterdam, Holland, this well-known seascapist worked most of his career in America, exhibiting at the National Academy, Boston Athenaeum, and the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore. Oil on canvas, in the original frame which is in excellent condition, 44” x 28”.
